How Can severe Lower Pelvic Pain Be Treated?

My son is 32 years old, good health. Last night he got severe pains in his front lower pelvic area on both sides. He was running a low fever and was sick to his stomach. He feels better today but afraid what it might be. He feels better laying down. He has been sleeping now for several hours.

Noted the history and understood the concerns.
32 years old male getting severe pain in fron lower pelvic area on both sides and low grade fever with feeling better on laying down and sleeping for several hours can be due to the following reasons:
Enteritis and colitis.
Lymph node mass.
Diverticulitis.
UTI that is urinary tract infection.
Or any other inflammatory process in the lower abdomen that needs the following since he is sleeping too much:
Clinical evaluation by a Doctor for knowing the possible diagnosis a so that further investigations and management can be planned.
X-ray of the abdomen in standing position.
CT scan of the abdomen is the best possible way to diagnose the underlying cause,.
Tests of stool blood and urine helps further.
He may need a course of an antibiotic if there is evidence of any infection.
Further treatment will be as per the cause found.
